Overview

Epsilon is a leader in the Off-Site Construction (OSC) industry, delivering mechanical/electrical-centric systems in a modular, prefabricated form, optimized for a streamlined on-site completion by us or others. The Boilermaker/Pipefitter position involves various tasks related to cutting metal stock and ensuring high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and operates band saw to cut metal stock to dimensions.
  • Reads drawing cut sheet(s) for specifications, such as material, type, and size of stock, and dimensions to be cut.
  • Obtains and transfers stock to machine, manually or with hoist.
  • Records material cuts & scrap on dwg cut sheets.
  • Able to measure work accurately for conformance to specifications, using tape measure.
  • Marks identifying data on workpiece (project name and drawing references).
  • Bundles cut sheet pieces together and/or places them on staging carts.
  • Willingness to cross-train and perform the other job tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possess a suitable combination of education and experience to meet the requirements of this position.
  • 1+ years of industrial experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to operate an industrial powered fork truck.
  • Must be able to work with various hand tools.
  • Must be able to work with overhead cranes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
  • Able to work independently or as a team player.
  • Employ a friendly, outgoing personality, respectful of co-workers and ability to work with individuals to carry out goals of the organization.
  • Able to take direction and communicate with others.
  • Have excellent time management skills, organized and detail oriented.

Additional Information

  • Perform work standing up in work cell for 8-10 hours per day and up to 6 days a week.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move material during the course of performing his/her job.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
