Overview
The Pipefitter Foreman is responsible for leading and managing crew members' daily activities and production in accordance with project timelines, plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. This role includes providing training on safety and operational procedures while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials for efficient project construction.
- Ensure correct operation and maintenance of construction equipment.
- Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets and daily management reports.
- Assist in developing a weekly schedule and sequence of activities for the assigned crew.
- Ensure timely completion of work assignments within estimated costs while upholding quality workmanship.
- Conduct operations according to applicable safety rules and ensure crew safety.
- Develop and maintain proper crew attitude through toolbox meetings and communication of safety concerns.
- Monitor compliance with all Company policies by employees under supervision.
Requirements
- May require a high school diploma or equivalent with previous experience in the field or related area.
- Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under supervision.
- Ability to perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out work assigned and train on safety practices.
- Working knowledge of scheduling, material control, unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals, and job cost management systems.
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively.
- Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player.
Additional Information
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Constantly works in a construction environment with exposure to changing outdoor weather conditions.
- Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required.
- May need to use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, or scaffolds to access work areas.
- Must be able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across the construction site.
- Must have required tools.
- U.S. Driver License required.
- Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit for duty medical.
