L3Harris is seeking a Metal Fitting Mechanic for their facility in Canoga Park, California, where they design and manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems for space exploration and national defense. Responsibilities

• Finish-form, fit and assemble pre-fabricated parts preparatory to fusion welding, brazing or diffusion bonding.
• Layout, weld, braze or diffusion bond assemblies for assembly, fitting and straightening operations.
• Build up assemblies composed of pre-fabricated parts to exacting tolerances.
• Restore the correct configuration to assemblies which have accumulated distortions or strains.
• Build up the initial assembly and check the final fit to ascertain usability of parts and tooling.
• Perform rework and repair of parts and assemblies.
• Maintain a proven safety record and experience with PPE.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must have 5 years of experience working in and around machining, fabrication or welding operations.

• Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off.
