Overview

KLOVER is a commercial carpentry subcontractor and manufacturer of prefabricated wall panel systems founded in 1991, seeking a Commercial Structural Joist Technician to install various structural flooring systems. The ideal candidate will possess trade skills, a commitment to self-improvement, and the ability to adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and read dimensions with a tape measure.
• Assist foreman with proper layout for work.
• Fabricate or alter parts using various tools.
• Join materials with PAFs, nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and lasers to ensure accuracy.
• Check work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
• Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment.
• Install flooring systems according to specifications and building codes.
• Maneuver units into position for installation and anchor them.
• Perform welds using stick processes (optional).
• Work at heights with elevated platforms.
• Keep work area clean and productive.
• Exercise proper use of PPE.
• Set up and safely use company equipment.
• Maintain welding certification through logs and supervisor observation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Participation in a secondary or post-secondary trade curriculum.
• 1+ year experience with floor joist, metal deck, or structural steel installation.
• Knowledge of construction safety devices and PPE.
• 1+ year experience with stick welding; current AWS D1.1 SMAW 3G and 4G certifications preferred.
• Rigging and Signaling experience is a plus.
• Basic carpentry knowledge.

• Worksites are within a 70-mile radius of Quakertown, PA.
• Employees must obtain PA Act 153 clearances as a condition of employment.
• Work environment includes exposure to various weather conditions and potential hazards.
