Overview
Universal Technical Institute is seeking an experienced welder to become a Welding Instructor, where you will mentor and educate the next generation of welders. This role emphasizes hands-on learning and aims to inspire students to succeed in various welding careers.
Responsibilities
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Provide practical demonstrations and hands-on training.
- Collaborate with the education team to enhance and develop curricula.
- Guide and mentor students on their individual projects.
- Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of practical work experience in the field.
- Technical skills in MIG, TIG, stick and flux-cored welding, oxy-acetylene torch work, plasma cutting, and brazing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient and empathetic approach to teaching.
