Overview

Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG) is a premier distributor in the commercial door and hardware industry, seeking a dependable and safety-minded Welder with experience in steel fabrication. The role involves welding, fabricating, and repairing steel components while ensuring compliance with safety and project standards.

Responsibilities

• Welds, fabricates, and repairs 16-18 gauge stainless steel and other metals using proper techniques.
• Reads blueprints and diagrams to select appropriate welding methods.
• Inspects finished welds for structural integrity and quality.
• Follows all safety protocols and OSHA requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
• Uses proper lifting techniques.
• Supports company values in Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity, and being a Company of Choice.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of safety practices and procedures in a fabricating environment.
• 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures.
