Overview

This position is for a skilled welder at an established and growing fabrication company located in Manitowoc, WI, and surrounding areas. The company is looking for candidates who are eager to start a new career in welding.

Responsibilities

• Weld various parts in different materials.
• Conduct dimensional inspections of parts and check for quality requirements.
• Understand and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Perform grinding, sanding, and cutting (oxy-fuel and hand plasma) as required.
• Blend welds to meet requirements.
• Adhere to lean manufacturing initiatives, quality requirements, and safety programs.
• Collaborate with operations and weld engineering to execute various types of projects.
• Fit up parts prior to welding.
• Perform general welding and shop duties as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Certification or degree in welding is desired.
• 1-3 years welding experience preferred, but education focused on welding will also be considered.
