Overview

Petersen is seeking a Fitter/Welder II to join their team in Farr West, UT. The role involves reading blueprints, fitting, and welding while ensuring customer and schedule requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints
• Supervise a crew and complete jobs from start to finish without direct supervision
• Expedite parts throughout the plant to meet production goals
• Solve obstacles related to the job being run
• Take ownership for meeting customer and schedule requirements
• Exemplify principles of unity, trust, honesty, integrity, creativity, and self-reliance

Requirements

• High School education or GED preferred
• Four years of shop or field welding experience
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols
• Pass basic plate weld test within specified time requirements
• Ability to calculate arc length, circumference, bolt circles, chord length, and flat pattern
• Must work well in a team environment and solve problems effectively
• Must maintain an acceptable attendance and safety record
