Overview
The Production Welder position involves manual MIG welding of production parts and TIG repair of rework parts while adhering to quality and production standards. Elwood Staffing offers a comprehensive benefits package for its associates.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual MIG welding of production parts and TIG repair of rework parts.
- Produce parts by loading and positioning components into the weld fixture and welding them together.
- Conduct detailed dimensional inspections to determine product quality.
- Keep count of completed products on each run.
- Follow physical Kanban for product parts.
- Record and dispose of defective products in a designated manner.
- Self-inspect welds and parts visually for defects.
- Check all safety controls for proper operation at the start of the shift.
- Notify GAP Leader and/or Supervisor of defects or major equipment malfunctions.
- Pack parts into designated containers and record information per QS9000 instructions.
Requirements
- Must be able to MIG weld.
- Must be able to pass MIG weld test.
- Must have own hood and gloves.
- Satisfactory company work record, including attendance.
- Ability to perform welding tasks on any production line and assemble parts effectively.
- Ability to perform welds that conform to quality standards and production pace.

Additional Information
- Contract to Hire position
- Pay rate is $19.00 to $20.00 per hour.
- Weekend work required.
- Second Shift from Monday through Friday, 06:00pm to 06:00am.
