Overview

We are looking for a welder/fabricator to join our team at a specialty contractor that provides structural steel for construction projects throughout most of the contiguous US.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components.
• Perform FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and welding techniques to join various metals in accordance with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble structural components.
• Measure materials precisely using measuring tools and perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate fabrication dimensions.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with FCAW welding processes; certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for precise fabrication work.
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks.
• Applicant may be subject to a background check.
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
