Schneider Electric is seeking a Maintenance Generalist for their Westchester/Fairfield locations, responsible for routine maintenance, corrective repairs, and projects related to mechanical and electrical equipment. The company focuses on connected technologies that enhance industries and improve operational management.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and adjustment of plant machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and correct machinery and equipment defects.
• Make repair parts.
• Change and maintain batteries.
• Work from drawings, sketches, prints, and schematic diagrams.
• Make detailed sketches for the manufacture of repair parts by others.
• Use cutting and welding equipment.
• Install conduit, wire, motors, switchgear, switches, contactors, and control devices.
• Repair welders, chargers, motors, rectifiers, and controls for building and manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain quality standards.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Adhere to plant regulations and safety rules.
• Utilize all necessary tools, manuals, and equipment to efficiently perform the job.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Classes in Electrical Circuits (Introduction to Industrial/Motor Controls).
• Classes in Technical/Shop Math.
• Classes in Basic Electricity.
• Classes in Basic Welding & Cutting.
• Classes in Hydraulic & Pneumatic Principles.
• Classes in Blueprint Reading.
