Overview

Silver Hills Bakery is seeking a skilled 3rd shift Maintenance Millwright to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain stationary industrial food-processing machinery, specializing in heavy mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency in a high-volume bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex machinery failures, focusing on heavy-duty rotating equipment.
• Perform advanced mechanical work such as laser/shaft alignment and bearing replacement.
• Execute routine inspections and preventative maintenance work orders.
• Operate rigging equipment, cranes, and forklifts to move heavy machinery.
• Read engineering schematics and blueprints to fabricate or modify metal components.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or Journeyman/Red Seal certification preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience in food processing or similar environments.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision measurement tools.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or on elevated platforms.
• Strict compliance with workplace safety policies and commitment to food safety standards.
