Job Description

Overview

We are currently hiring experienced Orbital Welders to support our growing semiconductor manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for manufacturing ultra-high-purity gas line assemblies and precision welded components used in semiconductor and advanced technology environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform orbital welding of hastelloy and stainless steel tubing, gas lines, valves, and semiconductor process components.
  • Manufacture ultra-high-purity (UHP) weldments and assemblies in a cleanroom environment.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate orbital welding equipment using proper weld programs and parameters.
  • Configure purge systems and gas mixing equipment to achieve high-purity weld standards.
  • Perform fit-up, alignment, tacking, scribing, cutting, and fabrication operations while maintaining tight tolerances.
  • Produce clean, high-quality, vacuum-tight welds on precision assemblies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld procedures, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Maintain dimensional tolerances and quality standards throughout fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Clean, label, etch, bag, and package assemblies according to semiconductor cleanliness requirements.
  • Create and document weld coupons, inspection records, and production logs.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on orbital welding and cleanroom equipment.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet manufacturing schedules and customer requirements.
  • Follow all cleanroom procedures, safety standards, and PPE requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous orbital welding experience is required.
  • Previous experience working in a semiconductor, cleanroom, or ultra-high-purity manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of related welding or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Experience welding stainless steel tubing and UHP gas line assemblies preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions.
  • Understanding of welding procedures, purge processes, and weld parameter setup.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools and tight tolerance fabrication.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Welding certification or technical training is a plus.
