Overview

GSM Industrial, a regional leader in industrial fabrication, installation, and mechanical contracting since 1983, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder to join their team on 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various welding techniques and be proficient in welding carbon steel and stainless steel in all positions.

Requirements

• Skilled in FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding processes with extensive experience working on carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Ability to weld in 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G positions with precision and consistency.
• Proven experience in full penetration welding, back purge welding, and producing welds that pass RT, UT, and hydrostatic tests.
• Experience working with polished stainless steel under stringent visual inspection requirements is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, perform precise fit-up, and execute complex assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on experience with rigging and complex crane operations to handle large and intricate welding projects safely and efficiently.
• Commitment to following industry safety standards, quality control protocols, and best practices for welding and fabrication.
• Prior experience in an industrial, structural, or pressure vessel welding environment is preferred.
• Certification(s) in relevant welding disciplines (AWS, ASME, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
