Arc3 Gases is a family-owned distributor of industrial gases and welding supplies, focusing on delivering solutions with a commitment to family values and customer service. The Service & Repair Technician provides technical support and expertise for metalworking equipment to enhance customer operations.
Responsibilities
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of welding and metalworking equipment.
- Utilize product knowledge and technical skills to deliver exceptional customer value.
- Help customers improve business operations by ensuring optimal equipment performance.
- Diagnose customer needs and share information with appropriate personnel.
- Act with integrity and urgency to build long-term customer relationships.
- Assist customers in the branch as needed to ensure exceptional service.
- Maximize product knowledge and stay aware of industry trends.
- Optimize repair and maintenance skills through continuous training.
- Maintain CST status through ongoing training after one year of supervision.
- Travel to designated branches and make scheduled customer service calls.
- Work with various tools and instruments, following safety policies.
- Troubleshoot and repair Arc3-owned welding equipment.
- Assist in assembling, installing, and delivering equipment as needed.
- Maintain and clean the service shop regularly.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Serve as back-up driver for inter-store needs on occasion.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance for the Arc3 fleet.
- Maintain all company required paperwork.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical education preferred, such as welding engineering technician degrees.
- Certified Service Technician certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical, electrical, or electronics experience required.
- Reading and understanding wiring diagrams and electrical schematics preferred.
- Experience repairing pneumatic or hydraulic equipment preferred.
- Experience interacting directly with customers required.
- Good communication skills for planning and coordinating repair projects.
- Good driving record required.
