Overview

JCB is the world’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of construction and agricultural equipment, seeking a Welder for the 2nd Shift to perform fabrication operations at their North America headquarters. The role involves various welding techniques and general labor operations to support the production of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor operations such as load/unload parts, grinding, scraping and nibbling fabrications.
• Operate fabrication fixtures.
• Perform semi-automatic GMAW (MIG) welding, Shielded Metal Arc welding, and TIG welding.
• Apply problem-solving tools and techniques to assist fabrication in the elimination of defects.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in fabrication or related field.
• High school diploma.
• Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests.
• Certification in welding technology is preferred.
• Five years of experience in fabrication or related field is preferred.
• Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing is preferred.
• Keen vision and mental alertness are required.
• Ability to perform bending processes or demonstrated ability to learn.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency.
• Flexibility with work activities and availability for overtime.
• Ability to operate the JCB range of equipment or demonstrated ability to learn.
• Ability to operate grinders, manual, semi-automatic and robotic welding machines, bending presses, lasers, and various hand tools.

Additional Information

• Work schedule is from 4:00pm to 2:30am.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays and/or Sundays.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
