The Dual Cert- CWI/NACE position involves consulting and monitoring welding and coating processes to ensure quality and compliance in pipeline construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with and counsel welders and other workers onsite regarding pipeline welds.
  • Monitor welder qualifications, weld records, and radiographic examinations.
  • Make recommendations to the client on welders' capabilities.
  • Communicate client requirements to welding crews.
  • Determine if contract performance is suitable.
  • Review and monitor materials and construction work for compliance.
  • Observe coating applications and corrosion controls.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority if unsafe conditions exist.

Requirements

  • Five years of industrial construction experience with three years in pipe welding inspection.
  • API 1169 Certification.
  • NACE CIP Level-1 Certification for inspecting industrial coatings.
  • AWS CWI Certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of codes and standards including API 1104, ASME B31.8, NACE, and SSPC.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
