The Dual Cert- CWI/NACE position involves consulting and monitoring welding and coating processes to ensure quality and compliance in pipeline construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Consult with and counsel welders and other workers onsite regarding pipeline welds.
- Monitor welder qualifications, weld records, and radiographic examinations.
- Make recommendations to the client on welders' capabilities.
- Communicate client requirements to welding crews.
- Determine if contract performance is suitable.
- Review and monitor materials and construction work for compliance.
- Observe coating applications and corrosion controls.
- Exercise Stop Work Authority if unsafe conditions exist.
Requirements
- Five years of industrial construction experience with three years in pipe welding inspection.
- API 1169 Certification.
- NACE CIP Level-1 Certification for inspecting industrial coatings.
- AWS CWI Certification.
- Advanced knowledge of codes and standards including API 1104, ASME B31.8, NACE, and SSPC.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
