Welding Shop in Nashville, TN

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Handrail Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will interpret blueprints, cut raw metal materials, and perform high-quality welding to create durable railing systems while ensuring compliance with local building safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a safe manner using proper personal protective equipment.
• Interpret blueprints to calculate exact angles and dimension adjustments.
• Measure, cut, and drill carbon steel material.
• Operate industrial equipment including saws, grinders, plasma cutter, and drills.
• Layout components to tack-weld and perform final MIG welding on structural joints.
• Grind down welds to finish work.
• Inspect final products for straightness, heat-warping, and compliance.
• Use forklift to move material to paint area.
• Work with management to maintain the consumable inventory.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year experience using an airless sprayer.
• Minimum 2-years' experience forklift operation experience.
• Basic arithmetic using whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
• Must be able to organize and manage project completion to meet ship dates.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
