Overview

Alpha Iron Works is a steel fabrication shop specializing in stairs and railings. They are seeking an experienced fabricator/welder to work primarily with steel and stainless steel, with occasional work in aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate in both carbon and stainless steel.
• MIG weld and operate cutting torch, plasma cutter, bandsaw, grinders, and shear.
• Layout and read blueprints.
• Perform duties that do not pertain to welding.
• Pass a weld test.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in steel construction.
• 5+ years experience in an industrial setting.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Skilled with tape measure and basic math.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Self-motivated and hardworking.
• Good attitude and ability to work with others.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Production-focused, efficient, and open to improvement.
• Prior experience fabricating.
