Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations to correct various defects.
• Inspect casting to ensure it can be welded and confirm proper fusion and maximum weld strength.
• Prepare casting for repair by removing sand spots and shrinks using carbon arc gouging as needed.
• Position casting(s) to the proper work area, using manual handling or hoist/crane for heavier materials.
• Place casting(s) in the correct area(s) upon completion, either manually or with hoist/crane.
• Maintain tools and equipment, keeping the work area safe, clean, and orderly.
• Observe all company rules and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as required or directed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience, with at least 1 year in manufacturing.
