Overview

Asahi/America is hiring a hands-on Plastic Fabricator / Fabrication Technician to join our Operations team in Lawrence, MA. This role supports the production of thermoplastic piping systems, custom components, valves, and fabricated assemblies used in industrial applications.

Responsibilities

• Cut, assemble, and fabricate plastic components and piping systems.
• Use hand and power tools such as saws, drills, routers, and related equipment.
• Follow work orders, drawings, measurements, and production instructions.
• Shape, fit, and finish materials to meet quality standards.
• Perform plumbing-style fitting and joining of piping systems as needed.
• Check work using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Support production goals while building accuracy, speed, and independence.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on work.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and follow dimensions.
• Experience with tools, measurements, and detailed fabrication work.
• Background in fabrication, plumbing, construction, mechanical assembly, or a similar trade preferred.
• Ability to read basic drawings or willingness to learn.
• Dependability, motivation, and pride in producing quality work.
• Ability to lift 30–40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
