Overview

The Welder/Production Prep position involves performing welding duties using a MIG welder, inspecting welds, and following job specifications. Candidates should be detail-oriented and willing to cross-train, with a focus on quality and precision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding duties using a MIG welder.
  • Weld metal components as specified by work orders or verbal instruction.
  • Inspect and correct welds to meet product specifications.
  • Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, work orders, and shop drawings.
  • Cross-train as needed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic welding principles (non-certified OK).
  • Ability to lift, lower and slide objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Hard working and dependable.
  • Attention to detail – quality and precision-focused.
  • Knowledge of MIG welding; TIG welding is a plus.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Math skills and ability to read tape measure and technical drawings.
  • Comfortable and proficient with grinders and various other hand tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited direction and in a team environment.

Additional Information

  • Applicants will be subject to a criminal background check and drug test.
  • Training during day shift, to move to supervised night shift when complete.
