Overview
The Welder/Production Prep position involves performing welding duties using a MIG welder, inspecting welds, and following job specifications. Candidates should be detail-oriented and willing to cross-train, with a focus on quality and precision.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding duties using a MIG welder.
- Weld metal components as specified by work orders or verbal instruction.
- Inspect and correct welds to meet product specifications.
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, work orders, and shop drawings.
- Cross-train as needed.
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic welding principles (non-certified OK).
- Ability to lift, lower and slide objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Hard working and dependable.
- Attention to detail – quality and precision-focused.
- Knowledge of MIG welding; TIG welding is a plus.
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Math skills and ability to read tape measure and technical drawings.
- Comfortable and proficient with grinders and various other hand tools.
- Ability to work effectively with limited direction and in a team environment.

Additional Information
- Applicants will be subject to a criminal background check and drug test.
- Training during day shift, to move to supervised night shift when complete.
