Overview

Select Staffing has a great opportunity for welders within a manufacturing company in Simi Valley, CA. They are immediately hiring for a Welder position with a pay range of $22.00 - $23.00 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate different types of equipment used to weld metal cabinets and other related products.
• Plan details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements.
• Weld sheet metal using different welding positions (flat, overhead, vertical, etc.).
• Clean and prepare surfaces (including sanding) to be welded.
• Use cutting torch equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
• Build up worn or defective surfaces.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Work from blueprint, engineering specifications and production schedules.
• Upon completion of welding operations, assist other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Have 1+ year or more of MIG Welding experience.
• Production welding with sheet metal experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate the capability of welding sheet metal products by passing a welding test.
• Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Basic reading, writing and numerical ability.
• Proficient in using measuring devices as required for product inspection.
• Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demands dictate.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Additional Information

• Morning shift: 4am - 12:30PM
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Overtime and Saturday required
