Overview
Lloyd Richards Personnel is hiring for various welding positions in Tulsa, OK. Applicants are encouraged to apply in person and must bring identification.
Responsibilities
- Employ appropriate welding methods in completing structural fabrication.
- Calibrate welding tools and equipment according to the parameters listed in the welding procedure specification (WPS).
- Carry out fillet, tack and full penetration welding on steel structural joints.
- Apply welding processes such as GMAW and FCAW.
- Carry out post-welding treatment of structures by cleaning and grinding materials to meet requirements.
- Set equipment to weld in the vertical, horizontal, flat and overhead positions.
- Operate overhead cranes, pallet jackets and dollies to move equipment and materials into position.
- Inspect and evaluate work to ensure it is free of defects and conforms to set specifications.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Inspect and ensure equipment is in good working order at the start and end of shifts.
- Adhere to company safety and quality procedures.
- Always conduct yourself in a professional manner.
- Report any equipment or product defects to your Supervisor immediately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 3+ years of relevant experience and/or training.
- 2-year technical degree or vocational certificate in welding preferred.
- Read and interpret blueprints and have strong mathematic skills.
- Ability to use and read level, tapes, protractors, and various tools.
- Possession of strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Ability to pass applicable welding test GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Fluxcore).
