Overview

Lloyd Richards Personnel is hiring for various welding positions in Tulsa, OK. Applicants are encouraged to apply in person and must bring identification.

Responsibilities

  • Employ appropriate welding methods in completing structural fabrication.
  • Calibrate welding tools and equipment according to the parameters listed in the welding procedure specification (WPS).
  • Carry out fillet, tack and full penetration welding on steel structural joints.
  • Apply welding processes such as GMAW and FCAW.
  • Carry out post-welding treatment of structures by cleaning and grinding materials to meet requirements.
  • Set equipment to weld in the vertical, horizontal, flat and overhead positions.
  • Operate overhead cranes, pallet jackets and dollies to move equipment and materials into position.
  • Inspect and evaluate work to ensure it is free of defects and conforms to set specifications.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Inspect and ensure equipment is in good working order at the start and end of shifts.
  • Adhere to company safety and quality procedures.
  • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner.
  • Report any equipment or product defects to your Supervisor immediately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • 2-year technical degree or vocational certificate in welding preferred.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and have strong mathematic skills.
  • Ability to use and read level, tapes, protractors, and various tools.
  • Possession of strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to pass applicable welding test GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Fluxcore).

  • This is a full-time position with a schedule of Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
  • You will be scheduled for 36 hours but paid for 40 hours.
