Responsibilities

  • Perform all Lean Manufacturing team members duties in that team leader’s area of responsibility.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and organized workplace.
  • Relieve team members when they need to leave the workstation.
  • Train and cross train team members.
  • Initiate daily production improvements.
  • Maintain/Audit/Improve standard work.
  • Understand TAKT time and Cycle time.
  • Strong understanding of Single Piece Flow.
  • Identify and eliminate waste within manufacturing processes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.
  • Maintain work area in a clean, neat, and orderly manner.
  • Install unit vehicle components and accessories.
  • Set up jigs and fixtures.
  • Basic computer usage.
  • Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Terex quality standards through error prevention.
  • Follow and promote The Terex Way Values.
  • Function as a team member and contribute to group goals.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Perform other job functions as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or equivalent experience.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and 40-100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Physical ability to work under, on, and around truck chassis and truck bodies.
  • 1-3 years of lean manufacturing experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with hydraulics/electrical/fabrication.
  • Capable of operating a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Previous work experience in mechanical/construction/carpentry.
