Responsibilities
- Perform all Lean Manufacturing team members duties in that team leader’s area of responsibility.
- Promote and maintain a safe and organized workplace.
- Relieve team members when they need to leave the workstation.
- Train and cross train team members.
- Initiate daily production improvements.
- Maintain/Audit/Improve standard work.
- Understand TAKT time and Cycle time.
- Strong understanding of Single Piece Flow.
- Identify and eliminate waste within manufacturing processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Work from drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.
- Maintain work area in a clean, neat, and orderly manner.
- Install unit vehicle components and accessories.
- Set up jigs and fixtures.
- Basic computer usage.
- Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with Terex quality standards through error prevention.
- Follow and promote The Terex Way Values.
- Function as a team member and contribute to group goals.
- Work overtime as required.
- Perform other job functions as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma and/or equivalent experience.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and 40-100 lbs. with assistance.
- Physical ability to work under, on, and around truck chassis and truck bodies.
- 1-3 years of lean manufacturing experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with hydraulics/electrical/fabrication.
- Capable of operating a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Previous work experience in mechanical/construction/carpentry.
