The Welder Technician, Associate at Greenbrier is responsible for refurbishing and repairing rail car components, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company safety guidelines. Responsibilities

• Complies with The Association of American Railroads regulations and Greenbrier's safety policies.
• Performs tasks under the direction of a Supervisor and notifies them of material or equipment needs.
• Refurbishes and repairs rail car components using welding and cutting tools.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working order.
• Interacts with team members and assists in training new employees.
• Establishes knowledge of repair procedures from The Association of American Railroads.
• Sets up and operates metal working tools related to the work process.
• Complies with special processes based on work orders.

Requirements

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Ability to use measuring equipment such as rulers.
• Ability to work and communicate within a team.
• Experience with welding, cutting, gouging, inspecting, and testing tools.
• Experience with burning, air arc, and grinding welding processes.
• Valid Driver’s License required for positions in Modesto, CA.
