Pipefitter –Shop Fabrication (Industrial)

TradeWorX is currently hiring experienced Pipefitters / Shop Fitters for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established industrial equipment manufacturer in the Pittsburgh area. This role supports the shop fabrication and assembly of industrial kiln and thermal processing systems.

TradeWorX is a full-time construction and skilled trades employer.

Schedule & Pay

• 1st Shift

• Monday–Friday, 40 hours

• Overtime available as workload dictates (some Saturdays)

Job Description

• Fabricate, fit, and assemble industrial piping systems in a shop environment

• Support the build of industrial kiln and thermal processing equipment

• Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs

• Perform accurate pipe fit-ups prior to welding

• Work with carbon steel and stainless steel piping

• Use standard shop tools and equipment (band saws, grinders, layout tools, pipe threaders)

• Collaborate with welders, engineers, and shop leadership to meet production schedules

• Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards

Must Haves

• 3+ years of shop-based pipefitting or industrial fitting experience

• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills

• Experience working in an industrial fabrication or manufacturing environment

• Comfortable working on custom, engineered-to-order systems

• Ability to perform general physical activities common to industrial shop work

• Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
