Overview

The Welder position involves setting up and executing welding on gas turbine components, ensuring quality control, and maintaining equipment in a clean and safe working environment. This is a contract-to-hire role based in Jupiter/Stuart, FL.

Responsibilities

• Set up and install welding equipment.
• Execute welding on gas turbine components as per technical specifications.
• Perform quality checks of the work before operation confirmation.
• Prepare and confirm required quality documentation.
• Report used production time per production step.
• Set up welding parameters and select consumable materials.
• Design and fabricate welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes.
• Report technical deviations using the Non-Conformance Reporting System.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and tools.
• Keep the working environment and machines clean and proper.
• Follow Environmental Health and Safety regulations.
• Continually improve operations and the working environment.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the production manager or supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certified in welding (TIG & MIG) or equivalent experience.
• Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix.
• 3+ years of experience with TIG welding.
• 3+ years of experience in a production or maintenance environment.
• 1+ years of experience with welding of Ni-base or Ni-Cr alloys.
• Experienced in carrying out visual inspections of welds.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes.
