Overview

Industrial Welders in a fabrication shop are responsible for joining metal components together using various welding techniques. They play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, creating a wide range of metal products.

Responsibilities

  • Uses various welding techniques to join metal components.
  • Operates and maintains tools and equipment.
  • Performs housekeeping in the area as needed.
  • Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection.
  • Follows written and oral directions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Welding certification preferred.
  • Experience with GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW 3G Vertical.
  • Carbon and Stainless-Steel experience required.
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to work accurately and with precision.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and regulations.

Additional Information

  • Work location: 1171 Grill Road, Van Wert, OH 45891.
  • The working environment is in an industrial shop; non-climate controlled and is often hot/humid.
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer/pre-placement drug screen and job-related employment physicals.
  • Must also submit to a post-offer/pre-employment background check that verifies criminal history.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Mid-State participates in E-Verify.
