Overview

ISC manufacturing is a local company that designs and fabricates complex systems and parts across various industries. They are seeking an experienced MIG fabricator/welder with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and drawings and set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Operate angle grinders, drill presses, handheld plasma, oxy fuel torch, and ironworker to prepare parts for welding.
  • Weld components in all positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead).
  • Work off ground 12’ or more on occasion using ladders or boom lifts.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and project coordination.
  • Pass a welding test prior to hiring.
  • Complete a 90-day probation period if hired.

Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience in MIG Welding.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Proven experience in similar industries.
  • Experience with Screw Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Mixers, and Heavy equipment Fabrication is a plus.
  • Certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Proficient in GMAW (.035 and .045) and FCAW (.045 and 1/16”).
  • Able to weld 14ga up to 1” + Carbon steel and Stainless Steel.
  • Proficient in reading tape measures.
  • Self-starter and quality minded.
  • Experience in layout and fitting, various CNC cut and manual formed parts.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment to meet production deadlines.
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, grinders, etc.).
  • Must be able to use wrenches and basic hand tools to assemble part assemblies prior or after welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Must be able to rig/lift heavy odd-shaped parts safely and effectively with forklifts/overhead cranes.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
  • Detail-oriented and able to pay close attention to accuracy and verbal directions.
  • Good work ethic and ability to adjust to change.

Additional Information

  • Must provide basic tools (squares, tape measure, levels, welding hood, layout tools).
  • Hydraulic shear, press brake, part assembly skills are a plus but not required.
  • TIG Welding experience is a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to work Monday-Thursday 5-3:30, sometimes Fridays and weekends as needed.
