Overview

The County Materials Family of Companies manufactures and delivers concrete construction products to meet the demand for growing communities. We are seeking a Welder Fabricator for County Prestress at our Roberts, WI location, responsible for reading blueprints, cutting and shaping metal, and joining parts using various welding techniques while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Cut, bend, and assemble metal parts using blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Apply MIG, TIG, Arc (SMAW), or Oxy-acetylene techniques to join components.
• Use plasma cutters, shears, ironworkers, drill presses, grinders, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
• Understand technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Inspect finished welds for structural soundness and to meet specifications.
• Work with various metals (steel, stainless, copper) and lift heavy materials.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork, work orders, and quality checks.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in welding and steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
• Familiarity with fabrication tools and machinery.
• Knowledge of metal properties and welding safety.
• Physical strength, stamina, and good hand coordination for demanding tasks.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• AWS Certified Preferred.
