Job Description

Overview

The Experienced Welder/Fabricator will work under the direction of the Team Lead or Plant Management Team to set up and tack weld various metals for sub-assemblies, ensuring adherence to Weld Procedure Specifications. This is a full-time position on the 2nd shift, offering competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Repair weld flaws/leakers from assembly.
  • Tack and weld parts per the appropriate weld procedure.
  • Clean and inspect all finished sub-assemblies as trained.
  • Store finished sub-assemblies and unused parts per proper procedures.
  • Read and interpret shop routings and prints.
  • Set up the job per the appropriate weld procedures and work instruction using fixtures and jigs where applicable.
  • Perform and obtain the first part piece inspection.
  • Conduct general maintenance – changing tips, liners, wire, gas, etc.
  • Return tools, fixtures, etc. to the proper locations when the job is complete.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years associate degree in Welding with one or more years in a variety of welding techniques.
  • Must be able to pass the JARP Industries weld certification test.
  • Required to pass all weld certification tests within 2 years of hire.
  • Welding experience in flux core, sub-arc and MIG is a must.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Manufacturing experience.
