Overview

Penz Products, a Tramec Company, is currently seeking a Welder responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal components according to specifications and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical ability, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to weld steel.
• Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
• Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
• Interpreting specifications and blueprints accurately.
• Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
• Operate forklift as required.
• May be required by management to perform other reasonable work-related tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of MIG welding experience or completion of an accredited welding program.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand welding symbols.
• Strong understanding of welding safety and PPE requirements.
• Proficiency using fabrication tools, measuring devices, and basic shop math.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Certification in welding is a plus, but not required.
