Overview

Senior plc is an international engineering solutions provider, and Senior Aerospace SSP is the world's largest aerospace high-pressure ducting system supplier. The Welder A position requires precision welding of products in compliance with strict specifications using the GTAW process.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify to AWS D17.1 and QOP-62-02, including passing visual, radiographic, and metallographic examinations.
  • Determine the sequence of welding operations, tolerances, and dimensional requirements from blueprints and welding manuals.
  • Perform difficult gas, inert gas arc or metallic arc welding on various types of metals and alloys.
  • Weld thin materials, thick materials, and formed parts where surface profile and finish are critical.
  • Layout locations of welds and make setups as required by written instructions.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience.
  • Must maintain at least one certification in accordance with AWS D17.1 and QOP-62-02.
  • Ability to perform x-ray quality precision welding or maintain two or more certifications.

  • Target Hourly Rate = $19.16 - $45.18
  • Monday - Friday 2nd Shift 3:30pm - 12:00am
