Overview

Bitzer Us Inc. is seeking a skilled Pipe Welder for the fabrication of pressure vessels, ensuring compliance with ASME code requirements. The ideal candidate will possess experience in MIG and TIG welding, with a strong focus on safety and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
• Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent overheating and material distortion.
• Examine workpieces for defects and measure them for conformance with specifications.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
• Determine required equipment and welding methods based on metallurgy and geometry knowledge.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
• Read blueprints and technical documents to plan layout and procedures.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.

Requirements

• Mig Welding experience.
• Tig Welding experience.
• 2 years of welding experience required.
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
• Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with measuring, cutting, grinding, and tools.
• Overhead crane experience is a plus.

Additional Information

• Work hours are Monday - Thursday 6:00 am to 5:00 pm or 5:15 pm to 4:15 am.
• Work is performed onsite in a climate-controlled welding shop.
