Overview

Petersen is seeking a Fitter/Welder II to join their team in Farr West, UT. The role involves reading blueprints, fitting, and overseeing welding tasks while ensuring customer and schedule requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints.
• Supervise a crew and complete jobs from start to finish without direct supervision.
• Expedite parts throughout the plant to meet production goals.
• Solve obstacles related to the job being run.
• Take ownership of meeting customer and schedule requirements.
• Exemplify principles of unity, trust, honesty, integrity, creativity, and self-reliance.

Requirements

• High School education or GED preferred.
• Four years of shop or field welding experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols.
• Pass basic plate weld test in specified processes.
• Ability to calculate arc length, circumference, bolt circles, chord length, and flat pattern.
• Must work well in a team environment and solve problems effectively.
• Must maintain an acceptable attendance and safety record.
