Overview

Calgon Carbon, a Kuraray Company, is seeking an experienced ASME Welder II to fabricate large pressure vessels and piping systems for critical air and water purification solutions. This role emphasizes code-quality welding and complex fabrication rather than repetitive production welding.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ASME code welding on pressure vessels, piping, and structural components.
  • Weld using FCAW, GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAW.
  • Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and nickel-based alloys.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and weld procedures.
  • Complete ASME weld logs and quality documentation.
  • Pass non-destructive testing (NDT) for pressure-retaining welds.
  • Use overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts safely.
  • Inspect and repair welds to meet code and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience welding pressure vessels or pipe (FCAW required).
  • High school diploma or trade school certification (welding preferred).
  • Ability to pass on-site weld qualification testing.
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and documentation.
