Overview

This position operates various pieces of equipment to fabricate materials per customer specifications while adhering to quality requirements and safety standards. The role involves various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret complicated sketches, drawings, blueprints, and product specifications.
• Produce high-quality products with superb craftsmanship.
• Create custom fabrications from Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Mild Steel for commercial and industrial clients.
• Ensure on-time delivery of fabricated metal products.
• Produce products consistent with established quality standards.
• Maintain a heightened focus on safety.
• Practice good housekeeping and waste management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 4 years of experience in Metal Fabrication.
• Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set-up parameters.
• Strong skills in Welding both MIG and TIG.
• Motivated with the ability to learn.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret shop and design drawings.
• Skills in layout and measurement.
• Knowledge of hand tools.
• Grinding and detailed finishing skills.
• Cutting, sawing, and bending skills.
• Industrial forklift operation experience.
• Crane operation experience.
• A technical degree is preferred.
• Ability to perform detailed work with high accuracy.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Hand dexterity and strength.
