Overview

Ceres Environmental Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Grade III based in Houston, Texas. This role is essential for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and mobile equipment used in construction and disaster recovery operations.

Responsibilities

• Read job orders and observe equipment to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures.
• Disassemble machinery and engines to remove parts and make repairs.
• Diagnose and repair components of machinery and engines to identify root causes of failure.
• Order parts and materials as needed.
• Maintain vehicle records by documenting services and repairs.
• Complete test runs on repaired machinery to verify repairs.
• Perform daily and weekly assignments from communication.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Adhere to company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Travel to various job sites as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues.
• Proficiency with all necessary tools for the job.
• Valid state issued driver's license and a clean MVR.
• Willingness to travel and work at different job sites during storm season.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

• Eligible for overtime and $40 daily per diem while traveling.
