Overview

Moffitt Services is a Texas-based fuel and lubricants distributor committed to providing quality products and superior service. They are seeking a dependable, experienced HD Fleet Diesel Mechanic to join their team, responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles and ensuring fleet readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, pumps, PTO systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, steering and suspension systems, and related components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and inspection records properly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Work closely with operations and leadership to minimize downtime and maintain fleet readiness.
  • Perform after-hours or emergency repairs when necessary.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and DOT-related requirements.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
  • Experience working on medium-duty and heavy-duty truck fleets.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • PTO, tanker, hydraulic, and fuel system experience preferred.
  • PACCAR Davie4 and/or Cummins INSITE experience preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
  • CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements is a plus.
  • ASE Certifications are a plus.

  • Rotating schedule (typically 5/2).
