Overview
The Weld Fitting position on the 2nd shift at Klune Industries involves basic fitting tasks under supervision, requiring minimal experience and skills in using hand tools and interpreting work instructions. Klune Industries, founded in 1972, specializes in providing solutions for the aerospace and defense industries.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of basic fitting tasks such as loading raw material onto fixtures and jigs.
- Conduct basic material fitting operations using fitting equipment according to customer specifications.
- Execute basic visual and mechanical inspections to ensure material fitting meets customer specifications.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Ability to use basic hand tools and fitting tools such as clamps, stands, and jigs.
- Basic print reading and weld symbol interpretation skills.
- Ability to use basic inspection tools such as scales, micrometers, calipers, and feeler gauges.
- Basic troubleshooting skills concerning fitting processes.
- 0-1 years of experience preferred in mechanical processes and methods related to weld fitting.
- GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
