Overview

At Boeing, Millennium Space Systems is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. As a Propulsion Subsystem Manufacturing Tech B, you will assist in the assembly and testing of spacecraft propulsion subsystems on the second shift.

Responsibilities

  • Weld, assemble, install, test, route/terminate/stake/wrap thermistors, heaters, non‐flight thermocouples and heaters on spacecraft assemblies.
  • Checkout and inspect propulsion assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly and test procedures.
  • Operate a wide range of tools including orbital tube welding machines, tack welding machines, drill press, grinders, power, and hand tools.
  • Interface and work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement and Shipping personnel.
  • Travel may be required to support operations identified by the program being supported.
  • Support in areas defined by Millennium Space Systems Leadership as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that do not conflict with other job classifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent industry and/or Trade School training.
  • Available to work shifted or alternate work schedule when required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Mechanically and mathematically inclined.
  • Knowledgeable about various computer operating systems and software.
  • Ability to read schematics.

  • This is a union-represented position governed by the Cabinet Makers, Millmen and Industrial Carpenters Union (CMM&IC Local 721).
  • The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
