Overview
At Boeing, Millennium Space Systems is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. As a Propulsion Subsystem Manufacturing Tech B, you will assist in the assembly and testing of spacecraft propulsion subsystems on the second shift.
Responsibilities
- Weld, assemble, install, test, route/terminate/stake/wrap thermistors, heaters, non‐flight thermocouples and heaters on spacecraft assemblies.
- Checkout and inspect propulsion assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly and test procedures.
- Operate a wide range of tools including orbital tube welding machines, tack welding machines, drill press, grinders, power, and hand tools.
- Interface and work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement and Shipping personnel.
- Travel may be required to support operations identified by the program being supported.
- Support in areas defined by Millennium Space Systems Leadership as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned that do not conflict with other job classifications.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months’ experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent industry and/or Trade School training.
- Available to work shifted or alternate work schedule when required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Mechanically and mathematically inclined.
- Knowledgeable about various computer operating systems and software.
- Ability to read schematics.
