Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and modify tools, fixtures, jigs, and other manufacturing aids.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Manufacturing and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Support prototype and R&D builds from early concept through completion.
- Operate manual and CNC machine tools with high accuracy and craftsmanship.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, CAD models, and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot tooling and fixturing issues and propose effective solutions.
- Maintain, repair, and organize tooling inventory and shop equipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, tooling efficiency, and build quality.
- Work safely and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Toolmaker, Machinist, and Welder or similar hands-on fabrication role.
- Background in an R&D, prototype, or low-volume production environment.
- Strong proficiency with manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models.
- High mechanical aptitude and a meticulous eye for quality and precision.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Additional Information
- This is a full-time, exempt position located in Long Beach.
- Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
