Overview

Acuren is seeking certified AWS/CWI professionals to support operations in Torrance, California, with travel-based assignments throughout the region. The role involves establishing inspection procedures, overseeing quality systems, and ensuring compliance with corporate and client requirements across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment according to API and ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition to the client.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration of plant equipment.
• Offer technical input on welding and metallurgical issues as required.
• Provide technical guidance on non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
• Comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel if needed.

Requirements

• CWI certified required.
• 6 years’ experience or 4+ years on-site experience.
• Additional API 510/570/653 certification preferred.
• In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
• Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers.
• Local to Torrance, California, San Diego, CA, and Los Angeles, CA.
• Able to travel 50%+.
