Overview
The Construction Mechanic (Plumber, Central Region) is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repairs of building structures and systems, utilizing trade-specific techniques and tools. This role requires a strong knowledge of construction practices and the ability to perform various tasks related to plumbing and building repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections, installations, and building repairs through standard knowledge of trade-specific techniques.
- Utilize tools and equipment to efficiently complete installation and repair tasks.
- Coordinate and collaborate extensively with trade-specific systems to complete specialized assignments.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data on machine operation, proposing actions to minimize risk and enhance performance.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment and systems, identifying potential defects or inefficiencies and addressing them promptly.
- Assess and determine resources, supplies, and staffing needed to complete tasks.
- Perform the demolition of building elements and clean up areas as needed.
- Maintain standard working knowledge of construction practices and techniques, staying updated with relevant trade-specific safety procedures.
- Perform related duties as required.
