Overview
The Construction Mechanic is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of building structures and systems, utilizing trade-specific capabilities and tools. This role requires a standard knowledge of construction practices and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections, installations, and building repairs using trade-specific techniques.
- Utilize tools and equipment efficiently to complete installation and repair tasks.
- Coordinate and collaborate with trade-specific systems to complete specialized assignments.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data on machine operation to minimize risk and enhance performance.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment and systems, identifying and addressing potential defects.
- Assess and determine resources, supplies, and staffing needed to complete tasks.
- Demolish building elements and clean up areas as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of construction practices and safety procedures.
