Overview
The Metal Fabricator will work alongside the custom fabrication team to produce high-quality custom furniture and unique metal fabrications. The role requires proficiency in TIG and MIG welding and the ability to work from technical drawings to create various metal products.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding of steel, stainless, and aluminum.
- Produce high-end work with delicate finishes and close tolerances.
- Maintain a clean workspace by sweeping and emptying trash.
- Collaborate with the Fabrication Manager to develop schedules for project deadlines.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience in TIG and MIG welding in a fabrication shop.
- Ability to work directly from drawings to create a product from start to finish.
- Experience operating common shop fabrication equipment at an advanced skill level.
- Ability to prototype/jig and understand production.
- Experience with directional and non-directional sanded finishes and polishing is a plus.
- Experience with finishes is a plus.
- Experience driving a forklift is a plus.
