Overview

Komatsu is seeking an experienced Field Service Welder to support open-pit mining operations, focusing on electric mining shovels and large gear case components. This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy hands-on work in the field and want to work on some of the largest equipment in the industry.

Responsibilities

Perform field service maintenance and repairs on electric mining shovels in open-pit mine environments.
Change and rebuild major shovel components, including large gear cases.
Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot complex equipment systems.
Work closely with mine site teams to ensure equipment uptime and safe operation.
Travel extensively to mine sites, primarily in AZ, with some travel to NM and CA.
Work hours are typically 12 hours daily on a 6-day-on schedule in the field.

Requirements

3+ years of welding experience.
Able to pass a 3G and 4G 4/16" wire test.
Willing to travel 6 days a week.
Clean driving record.
Ability to use all varieties of precision measuring instruments.
