Overview

The Sr Engineering Technician - Fabricator role involves designing and developing test procedures for complex products, supporting new products and operational plans. This position is based at Honeywell's Phoenix Engines site and reports to the Test Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine equipment such as lathes, milling machines and EDM’s to produce custom hardware.
• Fabrication and installation of various measurement sensors used in testing.
• Fabricate tooling and fixtures of own design to successfully accomplish tasks.
• Effectively communicate job estimate and status with work group and internal customers.
• Manually lift up to 35 lbs.

Requirements

• High school degree or its equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in Fabrication of Mechanical components.
• Some experience in test support.
• Practical experience working with engineering equipment.
• Ability to find effective solutions based on root causes and apply six sigma procedures.
• Sound technical judgment and opinions.
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team or project setting.
• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
• Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity.
