At Northrop Grumman, employees work on revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. The company seeks a Cables Manufacturing Technician for the 2nd Shift in Chandler, AZ, to perform various manufacturing operations and collaborate with engineers.
Responsibilities
- Perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including set-up and calibration tasks.
- Conduct soldering, rework, and quality testing related to the production of parts and assemblies.
- Use work instructions and engineering drawings to assemble aerospace cables/harnesses to specifications.
- Collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products and equipment.
- Assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
- Work with engineers in conducting experiments.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience within manufacturing.
- Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Experience following engineering drawings, instructions, parts lists, and schematics.
- Ability to cut wire, crimp contacts, pin connectors, apply shielding, and torque connector hardware.
- Able to read, interpret, and record measurements.
- Available to work 2nd shift (3:30pm to 1:00am).
